About Byram Therapeutic Massage
“I am committed to giving each of my clients the finest in massage therapy care. My goal is to help provide them with an overall healthier and more enjoyable way of life by bringing relief from pain and discomfort caused by injury, strain, overuse, chronic tension and stress.” ~ Lisa Bengtson, Licensed Massage Therapist
I have been practicing massage since 1989, after graduating from the New Jersey School of Massage in Parsippany, New Jersey. I am certified by the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage (NCBTMB), and maintain a current massage therapy license from the State of New Jersey. I am committed to obtaining the required continuing education credits necessary to maintain my membership in these organizations, thus furthering my studies, knowledge, and skills.
While spending 14 years providing massage therapy care in a Chiropractic facility, I developed a solid background in working with chronic back, neck, and hip issues. In 2003, I moved my practice to Budd Lake where I continue to specialize in pain relief for a wide range of ailments such as muscle tension, arthritis, fibromyalgia, headaches, carpal tunnel syndrome, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease. In addition to this are many clients who come to my practice for relaxation and stress reduction.
I also enjoy studying natural alternative health, fitness and nutrition, and am a distributor for Nature’s Sunshine Products and Young Living essential oils. In my spare time, I enjoy cycling, skiing, running, hiking, snowshoeing, and competing in triathlons.
